OTA 250 - Supplemental Clinical Practice Skills Credits: 1 Lecture Contact Hours: 1 Description: This course will provide students with additional treatment options for fieldwork and solidify the student’s readiness for both traditional and non-traditional fieldwork scenarios. Students will have the opportunity to observe and participate in activities, as well as research treatment modalities common in fieldwork settings. This course also will facilitate critical thinking in terms of supplemental skill building in preparation for a varied caseload.
Prerequisites: OTA 140 with a minimum grade of 2.5. OTA 170 with a minimum grade of 2.5. OTA 180 with a minimum grade of 2.5. OTA 190 with a minimum grade of 2.5. OTA 210 with a minimum grade of 2.5. Corequisites: OTA 220 . OTA 230 . OTA 240 . Recommended: None

Course Competencies 1. Examine the effects of diseases, conditions, disabilities, trauma and injury to the physical and mental health and occupational performance of individuals across the lifespan.
