This emphasis is designed for students who seek promotions or desire a professional position in the public or private fire service sectors, and provides students a wide knowledge base of the fire service and public safety. Students in this emphasis will have the education necessary to work in administrative, preventive, investigative, and educational areas of the fire service.

The Fire and Emergency Services Associate Degree program is nationally recognized by the U.S. Fire Administration through the Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) initiative.
Not all courses are offered each semester. Students should work with an academic advisor to develop a schedule that will work for them.
