PLAST 251 - Applied Injection Molding Credits: 3 Lecture Contact Hours: 0.5 Lab Contact Hours: 2.5 Description: This course provides students with the knowledge and hands-on exposure to solve common issues encountered while operating an injection molding machine. Machine control parameters’ effect on a materials processibility and part quality will be investigated. Students set-up processes on the injection molding machines and duplicate industrial standards to obtain the highest quality parts with the shortest possible cycle times. The course will also cover troubleshooting and process optimization.
