MUSIC 107 - Music for Elementary Teachers Credits: 4 Lecture Contact Hours: 3 Lab Contact Hours: 2 Description: This course will provide students with knowledge about fundamental concepts in music such as rhythm, harmony and form through participation in musical behaviors such as playing instruments, moving and singing. It also will provide opportunities for students to develop and execute lessons that address these concepts as well as employing music to facilitate learning in other academic areas such as math, science and language arts. The course is recommended for elementary education majors. This course requires all students must meet the requirements of a criminal background check.
