ECE 240 - Administration of Early Childhood Programs Credits: 3 Lecture Contact Hours: 3 Description: This course will cover methods of administering an early childhood education program reflecting best practices in the field. Included will be current laws, regulations, ethical guidelines and other professional standards related to early childhood practice. Establishing an original program will be related to understanding the business need for comprehensive development of guidelines for children, staff and families taking part in the program. Students will interview an administrator of an early childhood education program. Michigan Central Registry Clearance by the Michigan Department of Human Services is required for this course. This course requires all students must meet the requirements of a criminal background check.
Prerequisites: ECE 110 or EDUC 110 . Corequisites: None. Recommended: None.
