Schoolcraft program code #PAC.00278

The Computed Tomography post-associate certificate is designed for those students who are registered Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Radiation Therapists (ARRT), and Nuclear Medicine Technologists (ARRT or NMTCB).  It is not necessary to hold an associate’s degree to be in this program.  The program consists of traditional or online didactic courses and professionally supervised clinical training performed at a local clinical site.

The Computer Tomography program provides the knowledge that will enable students to enter the workforce as entry-level Computed Tomography technologists. The program prepares the post-graduate technologist to use computed technology to produce cross-sectional anatomical images of the human body for diagnostic testing, radiation therapy treatment planning, and positron emission tomography (PET).

The post-associate certificate is awarded upon successful completion of a minimum of 16 credits.  Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the ARRT post-primary certification examination in computed tomography.  This adds the Computed Tomography credential (CT) to their ARRT certification.

Mission:

The mission of the Schoolcraft College Computed Tomography post-associate certificate program is to serve the community by providing an educational setting where students will receive the advanced training and knowledge necessary to enter the profession as entry-level Computed Tomography technologists.  Graduates will exemplify qualities of excellence in patient care, professionalism, safety and ethical behavior thereby enhancing the healthcare experience of the patients we serve.
