EDUC 255 - Eliciting Student Thinking in the Secondary Classroom

Description: This course is designed to provide in-depth exploration of the core teaching practice, eliciting and interpreting student thinking in the secondary classroom. Students will review current research-based best practices in the development of questions that create an opportunity for students to share their thinking. Time will be spent deconstructing the practice while developing content specific resources. Students will complete relevant fieldwork through video observations. 

Prerequisites: Admission to the Alternative Route to Interim Teacher Certification Program.
