CIS 273 - TCP/IP and Network Architectures Credits: 3 Lecture Contact Hours: 3 Description: This course introduces students to the key concepts of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). The world’s largest network, the Internet, is also one of the world’s most powerful communication tools. Students learn the underlying applications, components and protocols of TCP/IP and its necessary link to the Internet and how to identify TCP/IP layers, components and functions. Navigation tools, TCP/IP services and troubleshooting methodologies are also reviewed.
Prerequisites: CIS 171 or CNT 210 . Corequisites: None. Recommended: None.
