Schoolcraft’s Art department offers options for individuals interested in the field of art whether they seek to transfer to a four-year university to continue their art studies or if they prefer to immediately begin their career as an artist.

Individuals interested in managing their career in the fine arts industry can pursue an Art Entrepreneurship Certificate in order to build the essential art and business skills to be successful in today’s art world.
- All credits in this Art Entrepreneurship Certificate can be applied toward an Associate Degree in General Studies (AGS).
Students planning to transfer to a four-year university can work toward an Associate in Fine Arts (AFA) degree with an emphasis in art.

Not all courses are offered each semester. Students should work with an academic advisor to develop a schedule that will work for them. Students planning to transfer should check the transfer institution’s requirements/guides or discuss their options with an academic advisor. The number of credits may vary depending on the course selection.
