Computer Information Systems: Computer and Network Technology AAS Degree

This program builds on the Computer & Network Technology certificate program to further prepare students for a career in the modern information technology industry. Students will enhance their technical skills, while also learning how to manage projects and develop systems solutions to business challenges.

Students who satisfactorily complete all college and program requirements qualify for an associate of applied science degree.

Program Outcomes

  • Provide installation and upgrade of hardware and software
  • Validate computer system functionality using troubleshooting and problem-solving methods
  • Support computer systems and users
  • Demonstrate understanding of TCP/IP and OSI models and related protocols
  • Configure network infrastructure devices and services

  • Validate network functionality using troubleshooting and problem-solving methods
  • Develop solutions to business problems

Industry Certifications


Courses in this program will help prepare students to obtain industry certifications including:  CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, and Cloud+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MD-102.
