The Schoolcraft College marketing and applied management program produces well-trained individuals who work in the distribution of goods and services. These individuals serve the customer and represent the company to the consumer. Therefore, graduates must be able to think, communicate and apply knowledge of business.

Career opportunities are available in occupations ranging from buying and selling to distribution management. Students who satisfactorily complete all college and program requirements qualify for an associate of applied science degree.

  • Demonstrate the effective management of human capital
  • Integrate the application of the management process into a business organization
  • Develop marketing strategies to promote business growth (including Product Development, Pricing, Promotion and Distribution strategies)
  • Formulate and carry out a sales presentation
  • Evaluate the role of customer service in achieving competitive advantage
  • Characterize the role of the Internet/computers in business success and growth
  • Create an effective advertising message
  • Transform domestic business understanding into applications for addressing the global marketplace
