Computer Information Systems: Cybersecurity Certificate

This program prepares students for the exciting and rapidly advancing Cybersecurity field. A thorough foundation is provided in networking and operating systems, while also covering advanced security topics including design, vulnerability and penetration testing, and defense technologies.

Program Outcomes

Demonstrate knowledge of information assurance and security design fundamentals
Assess risks, threats, vulnerabilities or other weaknesses in information systems and appropriate solutions to mitigate them
Demonstrate understanding of TCP/IP and OSI models and related protocols
Explain cryptographic systems and their appropriate use
Create simple scripts or programs using fundamental programming techniques
Outline laws, policies, ethical considerations and responsibilities related to cyber defense
