The study of economics is the study of the world around us. It studies how individuals, groups, and nation-states allocate scarce resources. Economics incorporates multiple disciplines such as political science, business, finance, sociology, and the humanities. Students who study economics have a richer appreciation for what motivates individuals and companies and can understand how to optimize decision-making for the betterment of all.
Students studying Economics should talk to their Academic Advisor about transfer guides and articulation agreements with Schoolcraft College. Students interested in studying Economics at a 4-year university may be interested in completing the Associate of Arts, Associate of General Studies, Associate of Sciences, or Associate of Business Administration degree at Schoolcraft College.
