CNT 264 - Security Testing Methods

Description: This course provides students with a deeper understanding of system security by exploring principles and techniques used to actively test systems for security weaknesses and their impact (often referred to as penetration testing). Topics covered include test planning, reconnaissance, execution, reporting and mitigation of weaknesses that occur from software misconfigurations or programming errors. Students will use open source security testing software to carry out security testing in an appropriate environment.

Prerequisites: CNT 115 . CIS 255 .
Corequisites: None.
