ANTH 117 - Introduction to Archaeology Credits: 3 Lecture Contact Hours: 3 Description: This course provides a general survey of anthropological archaeology. Topics include a history of the discipline and the theories and methods employed. Emphasis is placed on the interpretation of archaeological data and the reconstruction of past cultures. Contemporary ethical and legal issues are considered as well as how archaeology can address modern social problems.
