BMET 117 - Biomedical Instrumentation Terminology and Safety 1 Credits: 4 Lecture Contact Hours: 2 Lab Contact Hours: 2 Description: Students will combine and then apply the concepts they have acquired in their previous Biomedical Engineering Technology program courses in electronics, information technology, and anatomy/physiology. They will become acquainted with the fundamentals of medical equipment, testing concepts, electrical testing and safety. Students will be introduced to the field of Biomedical Engineering Technology as a career and get prepared for the phase 1 internship.
Prerequisites: Acceptance into Biomedical Engineering Technology Program (BMET). BIOL 105 with a minimum grade of 2.5. HIT 100 . ELECT 131 . ELECT 138 . ELECT 139 . CNT 173 . CNT 115 . Corequisites: None. Recommended: None.
