HUM 201 - Art and Music in Western Civilization: Field Study - England Credits: 3 Lecture Contact Hours: 3 Description: This course is a humanistic study of music and art in concentrated form through field study. Course includes art forms and functional styles of historical periods as they relate to universal principles. The course will also include studies in English history, culture and geography. The course will conclude with a ten-day trip to London, England with day trips to Cambridge, Canterbury, Bath, Stonehenge, Ely and other satellite locations. The tour will include visits to the National Gallery and the British Museum as well as other museums and will include visits to several palaces, castles, cathedrals and performing arts centers to facilitate a live, first-hand encounter with English arts and culture.
Prerequisites: None. Corequisites: Sign up for the international tour. Recommended: None.
