HIT 210 - Healthcare Statistics for Health Information Management Credits: 3 Lecture Contact Hours: 2 Lab Contact Hours: 2 Description: This course introduces students to terminology, definitions and computational methodology most frequently used in health statistics. Descriptive statistical concepts are also explored. Topics examined include healthcare data collection, report generation, data analysis and interpretation, data presentation techniques, as well as measures of central tendency, frequency distribution and standard deviation.
